Transgenders: You should encourage your friend to get counseling and if his motivations are true, consider gender reassignment. Females have a rough life too because so much emphasis is on their appearances. And most transgenders do not have the perfect female appearance so that will be another hurdle in his/her future.

Only UR Friend Knows: U may not have the whole story. Ppl who identify as transgender (or who don't identify as either male or female) don't necessarily understand their own feelings.
