Possible : Anyone having intercourse without birth control or condoms may get pregnant. If intercourse was within 72 hours you consider taking plan b. Ella (ulipristal acetate) is another brand that can be used up to 5 days after unprotected intercourse. Plan b is a high dose of birth control to disrupt the hormonal patterns to delay or prevent ovulation. Abnormal bleeding after is common. Check preg test in 10 days.

Lower: Taking Plan B decreases the risk of pregnancy by about 70%. Always take a pregnancy test about 10 days after use to confirm that it worked. Consider starting birth control to avoid these scares in the future.

If i had unprotected sex while i was ovulating and took Plan B within 24 hours, how likely am i to be pregnant?

Plan B: Plan b is not intended as a primary contraceptive method and does not protect against sexually transmitted disease. That said, it is designed exactly for your situation and pregnancy is unlikely. Give it about two or three weeks and take a urine pregnancy test to be sure. Remember, unprotected sex may lead to std exposure including HIV and hepatitis which may take 11 weeks to show up.

it is risky to have unprotected sex unless your partner is monogamous. I would suggest see your MD or a Gyn and be treated according to findings.
