Herpes: Usually you cannot see ulcers. But, herpes lesions do ulcerate (this means that the top layer sluffs off of the blister leaving raw skin underneath. Other skin ulcerations are similar in appearance. Herpes is still very easy to distinguish in general in the way they cluster together.
