Depends, but: Barring any contraindications (like a history of blood clotting disorders, classical or complex migraines, or an abnormally formed uterus) most women can choose from: birth control pills/patches/or vaginal ring; the 3 month shot (depo provera); implantable rod (nexplanon), or intrauterine device. Talk to your doctor about which option may be best for you.
