Tongue: A variation of candida can do this. So can a food allergy. Did you have any recent dental work befor this? Malocclusion , a dental problem can be a cause as can mervury sensitivity. There are other causes so check with your physician.

Glossitis: Nutritional deficiency of Niacin can cause painful inflammation of tongue called pellagra. There are associated skin, gut & psychiatric symptoms. It wouln't hurt to take additional vitamin b3 but it would be an even better idea to see your doctor first.
