Can still transmit: Even when the virus is dormant (when one is not having a wart/lesion, etc) it can still be transmitted. It is not a guarantee that he would contract the infection, but it is still a definite possibility and (unfortunately), condoms have not been shown to provide reliable prevention of hpv. Sorry.
