What is pennis cauterization done for? can it help stopping wet dreams?

Cauterization of the penis is not done. Only lesions. growths etc on the penis are cauterized. Wet dreams are a normal occurance- specially in young men and do not require any 'treatment' -specially cauterization. There is a mis- apprehension in some counties( specially in south Asia) that nocturnal emissions are abnormal. This is totally not true. And - no- cauterization does not stop wet dream
