A member asked:

Took two bc pills late in a row which i never do and will never do again. im spotting rn and placebo is this week. do i skip it and go to my next pack? also how long do i have to take extra precautions to avoid pregnancy for?

Because today's oral bcp's are low in hormones, "missing" or late taking of one or two may cause breakthrough spotting. Do the placebo week and resume a new pack on day 8 . Try to remember to take the active pills in the same hour that the prior day's active pill is taken, to avoid "spotting".
