: LVG requires specific testing in order to diagnose it. A chlamydia test may miss it but only in some cases it will test positive. It is caused by only certain strains of chlamydia. Routine treatment for chlamydia will not eradicate LGV infection

LGV is done as culture from the suspected area and not in the urine
