I think my brother has herpes and he ordered food and i ate a piece he offered of his plate and the tip of my tongue began to hurt within 15 mins of eating it.it burned and the tip of it had raised bumps and are red. can i get herpes? that fast?

No. The incubation period for HSV infection (herpes) ranges from 2 days to 2 weeks.

You cannot get herpes from sharing food like this, and you would not have any symptoms within 15 minutes of exposure regardless, even if you could. If you continue to have the redness and bumps, you should see your primary care doctor to have it evaluated. Good luck.
