I have pcod. the doctor has recommend me to take clomid at the second day of my periods but the period has not started yet. should i take premolut-n for periods? and after getting periods should i take clomid?

With "PCOS", and the irregularity of menstrual periods, withdrawal bleeding caused by progesterone administration will cause shedding of endometrium, and if pregnancy is desired, produce a better surface for a fertilized egg to implant. Starting clomid on "day two" of the withdrawal bleed will usually be followed by ovulation.

Some Fertility doctors prefer to trigger a menstrual cycle before starting Clomid. Others prefer to time ovulation testing around the climid initiation date. Both are reasonable approaches. Contact your prescribing physician so you can follow the protocol they are most comfortable with
