Plan B is about 95% effective at preventing pregnancy. You may take a pregnancy at 4 weeks after the sex episode in question. If the result is negative, re do the test 4-5 days later, unless you get a period by then.

HPT: That is possible. Brown blood is usually older blood. Take a home pregnancy test if you have not had a definitive period yet.
