A member asked:

My labia has a slight tear in it and i believe it is from rough sex. it stings to pee but it seems to be healing. is it a sign of an std?

Not per se. Rough sex resulting in tear of the labia will make the urine sting the wound. If you have any concern see your doctor for an evaluation and testing. Get HPV, Flu and Covid vaccines. If you definitely had trauma during sex at that spot, that's probably the cause. However, it is common to wrongly assume trauma for genital ulcers or sores. If any doubt, get examined and tested for herpes and syphilis -- the two most common causes of genital ulcer.
