Confusing: It must have shown up on some test, otherwise, how did your doctor know you were pregnant? Being on birth control for an extended period of time won't prevent a pregnancy from showing up on testing; it makes me wonder if you may not want to find another doctor to get a second opinion. There can be false negative pregnancy tests due to inherent limitations of the testing, but not b/c of ocps.
