See below: May be fungal infection (like jock itch that has extended to penis) or might be psoriasis. Can try otc antifungal cream (lamisil) on affected areas; keep area clean & dry (talcum powder or antifungal spray [cruex/tinactin/desenex..] & wash underwear, towels, bedding in hot water (w/ bleach if possible). May take 2-3 weeks to clear. See pcp to get his/her diagnosis & treatment options.
