A member asked:

I have a wart on my hand. my question is,can i live without taking hpv vaccine?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Warts that occur on common non-genital skin are NOT CAUSED by the strains that cause genital warts. They are also not prevented or treated by getting the HPV vaccine. I do not recall any cases in 4 decades of practice/reading where simple warts are fatal. If you are preoccupied with this idea you need to discuss it with your doc.
