"HVS" may be a typo for "HSV" , which is herpes simplex virus, and may be sexually acquired. Herpes is very contagious, and oral herpes can be transmitted with contact and genital spread secondary to casual contact with face or hands containing the virus. The term "HVS" may represent an abbreviation not usually used , so check with your physician.
