Any clean or sterile (better) saline solution should be fine. All saline solutions are the same, you can ask the pharmacist at your drug store.

Very easy to make saline solution yourself. Just stir 10 Grams of salt (2 flat teaspoonfuls) in a liter of tap water. Just as good as any commercial saline. You can boil the water for a few minutes if and when you need sterile saline. Save your money and make it yourself.

What do you expect saline solution to do that washing with water will not? Who instructed you to use saline? Having said the advice about making your own salt solution is sound, even if the reason for using saline is not.
