Maybe: These work by maintaining a relatively constant level of hormone in your blood that blocks egg release. No egg= protected. When the hormone level falls enough the body will revert to its baseline fertility & eggs may release. You may have a safe interval or not, so a backup form of BC is reasonable if it matters.
