Ive folliculitis and im wandering what could cause it? i do have type 2 diabetes i want to mention. is there a certain virus or bacteria that causes it? im herpes negative?

Yes: Folliculitis is an infection of the sweat glands (under your skin). Generally caused by bacteria (Proprionobacterium, sometimes Staph). Worse in people with poorly controlled diabetes. Check with your primary care physician
