"missed bcp" ?'s: Missing even two active pills in the middle of a cycle or oral BCP's will result in withdrawal bleeding, as estrogen fluctuations will cause this as levels suddenly decrease intermittently. With each bcp cycle, there are seven days of "missed active pills" with each pack, and pregnancy will not occur, so missing two pills may cause mild bleeding but odds of pregnancy are minimal.

Keep taking your pills as directed, and be sure to use a backup contraceptive method for the rest of the month, until after your withdrawal bleed during the placeholder pills. If you keep on schedule, the expected period may be a bit light, but that will be the correct timing.
