Yeast infection?: BV is not painful; something else is going on. BV treatment can trigger a vaginal yeast infection, which is irritating and can make sex painful. You should not stop your BV treatment unless your doctor advises you to do so. Discuss all this with your doctor. If your symptoms are otherwise typical for a yeast infection, she may prescribe additional treatment.
