A member asked:

On yasmin for several years and have never had problems with breakthrough bleeding until last 2 months. i understand that this could indicate a need to switch to a higher dosage. however is it possible that i could still get pregnant in the meantime?

No: Unless you have missed pills, your likelihood of getting pregnant is not increased with breakthrough bleeding. Also a change in pills may not be necessary. A short term course of additional estrogen can be very helpful.
