A member asked:

My first biopsy for sperms showed normal spermatogenesis and sperms were extracted through tesa.however after 1year due to negative ivf outcome we would like to know if sperms would be present now or not?

Fertility issues: If the "sperm biopsy" shows active sperm, IVF using ICSI should establish fertilization, but the fertilized egg may not implant on the lining of the uterus. A valid IVF program will not transplant eggs without knowing if fertilization has occurred, so the sperm must still be present or transplant will not be done. If this raises ?'s, get a second opinion at another IVF center.
