Depends on your age: In teens or perimenopausal females, menstrual cycles can be irregular because of fluctuating hormone levels. If you are in neither of these groups, causes include: starting or stopping oral contraceptives, STD's, infections, stress, increased/decreased weight, drugs or meds. Make sure to mention this to your Dr if it persists. Exam and testing can allow the Dr to treat any underlying conditions.
