Better to continue: Losing weight may be healthy but the spotting is only a nuisance and the benefit of shortening your periods is probably agood reason to stay on the ocp.

PID: Doxycycline is an antibiotic for pid. It is good to try to loss weight also . Ocp can be the cause of spotting. See gyne.
