Many things possible: Many things are possible in this life. Herpes 2 is usually on the genitals but can be on other places. Herpes 1 is usually on the lips area but can be on other places. The viruses don't really know where they are (they're just tiny viruses). They infect the places where they first get through the person's skin. Kids don't get genital herpes from their parents via normal parent-child interactions.
