Rarely yes,: However, the uterine lining is not receptive to a fertilized egg. As well the cervical mucous tends to be thickened by the pill, blocking the sperm getting to the egg. The failure rate of the pill is rated at 1 or 2 %.

Odd post: The pill basically works by providing hormones that prevent ovulation.No egg=no pregnancy. If she is using the pill properly (not missing any) she should not ovulate. Why she thinks she is ovulating is unclear. If she does ovulate a pregnancy is possible if you have intercourse.
