STD testing: This might be a minor cyst, an inflamed sebaceous gland, or something along these lines. On the other hand, you (and maybe your bf) are at the peak age of maximum STD risk; even without this or other symptoms, you should be checked for STDs from time to time. This isn't a typical STD symptom, but still this would obviously be a good time for exam and testing, so get it checked out. Good luck.
