How to determine the difference between genetal herpes and shingles?

See below: Herpes has vesicles all the same age-that is they all have thin roofed veicles which unroof all at about the same time shigles on the other hand has crops of veisicles that vary in age from day 1 to day 7 -so some will have intact vesicles and others with have unroofed the vesicles.
