A member asked:

Im five and a half months pregnant and ive been suffering with a pain on my vagina for a few months now, its not on the surface but from the inside. it gets so bad that i struggle to walk, sit or even turn when im laying down. is this normal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Vagninal pain: Vaginal pain as described may be due to herpes lesions on the lining of the vagina, which can be very painful. See your OB provider, for an exam and testing with IgG/IgM testing on blood , as treatment with antivirals may be indicated, and if new lesions occur, may affect the method of delivery.
