A member asked:

I have a bulge swelling just below my breasts in the stomach. little pain now and then what could that be?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Abdominal hernia ?: If you have previous abdominal surgery, or this "bulge, swelling" is in a straight line vertical below your ribs, a hernia may be the cause. Occasional pain is common, but if the hernia becomes very tender or nausea and vomiting occur, see your physician for a referral to a surgeon for diagnosis and potential treatment.
