Came off contraceptive pill 2 try 4 baby. first month only & no period but taken 2 tests & i'm not pregnant. why no/late period? always had reg cycle

Be patient: OCP's will often alter the bodies natural hormonal balance and it can take time to reset into the basal pattern. While you might ovulate within days of stopping the pill, it may take a while for it to do so. If you are late it can just be from lack of egg release & your next cycle may be heavy. Cited average wait until a desired pregnancy is 6 mo with a range of weeks to a year.
