Contraception: It's normal to see some small amounts of spotting, even while on the depo shot. Although it's a very effective contraceptive, it's still not 100%, and it does not protect against sexually transmitted diseases. We still recommend barrier protection/condoms as a STD prevention measure. If you are concerned you may be pregnant, please start with an over the counter pregnancy test.
