Always a chance: With normal, fertile women, there is always a small chance of pregnancy. Emergency contraception pills can be used when a primary method of birth control fails (meaning the morning after-pill is not meant to be used after intentionally avoiding a primary method of birth control). One should do a home urine pregnancy test 3 weeks afterwards, to confirm non-pregnancy.

Pregnancy concerns: Using emergency contraception reduces risk of pregnancy. However, it would be more effective if you consistently use some form of contraception. There is always a chance for pregnancy - even if emergency contraception is used.
