A member asked:

I'm on a ultra low dose birth control pill called vienva. am i more likely to get pregnant on a low dose pill vs. a regular dose? will it stop ovulati

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Low dose oral bcp's: As long as the active pills are taken within the hour of the previous evening's pill, and there is no "breakthrough" bleeding noted, ovulation will not occur. The only requirement of taking a "low dose" as opposed to a "regular" dose pill is that the low dose pill is taken on time.
