Cipro: bcp ?: Some antibiotics can decrease absorption of oral contraceptives, but usually not enough to affect the action of the bcp's to be effective. If sufficient interference with absorption of oral contraceptives occurred, there would be withdrawal bleeding , as there is when the active pills are stopped. If no spotting or bleeding has occurred, pregnancy protection is still OK.
