Not yeast: Also note that Tinactin is not effective for yeast, nor will it help you in any way. Much more information is required for useful evaluation. See a Dr, preferably a gastroenterologist. Meanwhile you can use skin cream [Aveeno, Eucerin, etc.] on bathroom paper to clean the anal skin. Avoid rough scrubbing.

Yes: Small children have thinner skin, and are more sensitive to the effects of topical preparations.

Is it unsafe to pick up dog poop in pregnancy?

No: Pregnant women should not pick up cat feces as it can carry toxoplasmosis which can be harmful to an unborn baby. Wear gloves when gardening and wash hands after because the soil may contain toxo from cat feces. Dog feces usually does not have toxoplasmosis. That said, i would recommend using a plastic bag to pick up the dog poop and would wash my hands as soon as possible.

Why is my 2 year old daughters stool always a shade of green? I rarely give her juice or food coloring so it cannot be the dye...

Normal!: It is not uncommon in some children. If the stool is formed , child is growing i would not worry about it. It is often from green leafy vegetables, coloring agents in the food or simply due to rapid transit from small intestine to large intestine where it normally is tuned brown.

A female asked:

I have flea bites on my skin. How can I make them stop itching? And how can I repel the fleas from biting me!?

Over-the-counter med: For flea bites, one can take claritin, zyrtec, or Benadryl (diphenhydramine) to block histamine that causes itching. Hydrocortisone 1% cream 2-3 times a day on the bites for about 5 days will help them go away. For more itch relief, one can put an anti-itch gel such as "itch-x" on bites. Itch-x has an anesthetic to numb the itch. If bites are growing or painful, a doctor can evaluate. "deep woods off" repels fleas.

Should I pop the blisters from second degree burn?

Great Question: Not even all burn units agree on this. However, i would suggest that you don't pop it, but have it seen by an appropriate specialist.
