Sex/ovulation date: Some bleeding can occur with ovulation, due to the sudden drop in estrogen which precedes ovulation. This drop in estrogen can produce cramps, nausea, etc.. If your period is delayed , a serum HCG test done about 7-10 days after your period is due is an accurate test for pregnancy.
