Different viruses: These are very different. Molluscum contagiosum is never serious. HPV usually isn't serious, even though warts can be a nuisance. However, some HPV infections are dangerous, mostly because they can cause cancer. Molluscum never is dangerous. HPV warts do not always have a "caulifower" appearance. MC is easily treated by freezing, curettage (scraping off), and others. Follow doctor's advice.
