Childbirth is the number one reason for excessive stretching without return as the elastic tissues often breakdown. In young women sexual interactions usually do not cause "looseness"

The vagina: Agree with Dr. Ingram. Childbirth stretchs out the vagina. A virginal vagina will however, likely be tighter than that found on someone who has been engaging in sexual intercourse.
