Dyspareunia: Painful intercourse can occur for various reasons ranging from structural problems to psychological concerns. Many women experience it sometime. Causes: insufficient lubrication/dryness/menopause, rough sex/trauma, genital skin problems, involuntary muscle spasm (vaginismus), endometriosis, cancer treatment. But emotional issues also common: anxiety, stress, history of sexual abuse. OB/GYN eval!
