Colitis: Your symptoms are consistent with colitis which may result from a viral intestinal tract infection. Green stool and foul smelling gas are nonspecific. Avoid harsh roughage, drink adequate room temperature fluids and if you experience loose stools, take kaopectate. If symptoms worsen instead of gradually improving,see your physician.
