A member asked:

What are my chances of pregnancy after having intercourse on the last day of my period, and taking an emergency contraceptive 14-15 hours later?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Emergency contracept: Emergency contraception is 95% effective in preventing pregnancy when taken within 24 hours of unprotected sex. Take a urine pregnancy test 3 weeks after unprotected to confirm not pregnant. Also bear in mind that emergency contraception can alter menstrual cycle for one to two cycles.
