Bacterial vaginosis?: Strong vaginal odor usually means bacterial vaginosis, an overgrowth of mostly normal bacteria. Odor often worse after sex. STDs possible if at risk; from the topic tags you chose, you're awre of this. Treatment is a prescription antibiotic, so get care ASAP for diagnosis, STD testing, and Rx. OK to wash genital area with soap and water, but do not douche, which is unhealthy and makes BV worse.
