Yes: Hemorrhoids are simply oversized rectal veins that are often fibrous.A fissure is just a scratch or crack in the rectal skin often triggered by bulky or hard stools. Both can be present in the same patient at the same time.I would consider hemorrhoids an unusual diagnosis at your age.
