I had chlamydia before which i felt like that caused my ectopic but is it true doctors won't really know why the ectopic happened?

Correct: By studying diseases, we after time can see correlations between things like infections and ectopic pregnancies. chlamydia causes severe inflammation and scar tissue in the fallopian tubes. So it is reasonable to think that the scar tissue can trap the baby in the tubes causing an ectopic.
