A 30-year-old female asked:

Is ecoli and another bacteria usually a kidney or bladder infection? i had really bloody urine. i have ic so symptoms are hard to distinguish.

Yes but not always: E.Coli is common cause of UTI. Bloody urine is common but not specific for any one bacteria. After ruling out infection, older patients must make sure blood is not from cancer or another cause. See your doctor.
