What can u give a 1 year old to help poop thats straining to poop and cry's when it come out hard ?

Mild stool softner: You can give 1 teaspoon of prune juice ,or mineral oil by mouth,this will soften the poop and it comes out easily . The baby will not strain or cry while passing poop .Also in between feeds give some water to drink.This all helps to regulate bowel movements
