Do HPT timely...: Disregarding what kind of contraceptives you might have used, always do HPT in 7-10 days after missing expected period and repeat it in another 7-10 days if the first HPT is (-) & still in doubt. Also remember: Fertile time, i.e., ovulation occurs some 2 weeks before period no matter what your menstrual cycle could be. Best wish to safe sex...
